NOTE THE NON-STANDARD DATE AND LOCATION
Greetings, CRRC’ers!
Please enjoy our April Newsletter, with an essay by Al Dean who writes about Bill Martin.
Our next general meeting is scheduled to be in-person at the McAuliffe Branch Library in Framingham on Tuesday April 16th, at 7:30PM.
Our speaker for April will be Tibor Simon. Tibor came to the US from Hungary in 2000, and has started his own painting business called “Rainbow Painting”. (You can find his info on Facebook.) He does indoor and outdoor painting, but his real passion is flying fast! He flies turbine jets, ducted fan jets, as well as 3D aircraft. He will be displaying his Freewing Mig-29 Fulcrum Jet (1/9 scale, 50" wingspan, 74" length) designed for twin 800mm ducted fan motors that was converted to use a single KingTech 55 turbine engine. Tibor worked with John Eppling, who did the initial modifications to fit the turbine, installation of an internal and an external gas tanks, strengthening the elevator assembly, and simplifying the electrical wiring for the electronics in the wings.
We’ll also have a raffle and show & tell, so please join us.
