Contestant prepares for bomb-drop

May 18, 1997 -- Medfield, Mass.

Dan Ross hosted the first Fun Fly of the season for the Charles River Radio Controllers. Dan chose a format with lots of options: the contestant was asked to select 4 tasks from a list of 6. The tasks were hi/lo speed, taxi, bomb-drop, timed flight, dead stick spot landing, and touch-and-go's in 2 minutes.

The weather was perfect, the events challenging, and Dan made sure that the contest moved along briskly. The bomb-drop and touch-and-go events provided a great deal of entertainment for the onlookers. With a little luck, I will get a more complete report from Dan and add it to this page.
